Is your boiler old and inefficient?
If your boiler is more than 7 years old and is a non-condensing type we may be able to replace it free of charge.
Replacement boiler grants are available for some property types(not flats or mid terraced houses) as a secondary measure along with cavity wall insulation or under floor insulation.

Why should I replace my old boiler?
If your boiler is old it uses more energy(and more money) to heat your home. This is because a boiler becomes less efficient over time.
All boilers fitted in the UK must now be the condensing type. These are more energy efficient because they use waste heat to partially heat your cold water before it reaches the burner inside the boiler.
If your boiler is old there is a chance that it will be a non-condensing type, which means it would be beneficial to replace it.
How do boiler grants work?
Under the Government led ECO grant scheme the major energy companies have been asked to set aside funding for grants.
If we can install cavity wall insulation or under floor insulation(700mm space needed under suspended floor), and your combi boiler is more than six 6yo we can replace it for free.
For system boiler or back boiler to combi boiler replacements there will usually be a charge. Upgraded boilers and maintenance plans are also available.
Grant funding is used to install energy saving measures for homeowners and private tenants where someone in the household claims any of the following benefits or tax credits –
- Income support
- Income-based JSA
- Income-related ESA
- Pension Credit Guarantee Credit Element
- Pension Savings Credit
- Universal Credit
- Working tax credit
- Child Tax Credit

- Housing Benefit
